Adobe Flash CS5 with Zkey and my friends.

I was writing a log book to be submitted to the office tomorrow about the Adobe Flash CS5 course that I attended these past 2 weeks, and I figured, i will just paste the log book here as part of my entry

WEEKLY REPORT

COURSE TITLE    : 3P INDUSTRY - BASED CERTIFICATION PROGRAM

MONDAY 30/01/2012	·         Learned to trace and draw objects in Adobe Flash ·         Exploring the new Flash TLF Text Engine ·         Working with layers and symbols ·         Learn to mask an object and animate a masked globe ·         Create a simple rocket animation moving around a globe by using classic tween and motion guide ·         Explanation from the trainer by using the Adobe Flash CS5 book	·         Students were asked to submit the rocket and also the animated masked globe ·         Students were asked to create 10 seconds animation and submit the simple rocket animation the day after
TUESDAY 31/01/2012	·         Learned to morph objects by using Shape Tween ·         Learned to create motion tween and it’s features ·         Learned to apply Inverse Kinematics (IK) by using Bone Tool to create human movement	·         Submit the 10 seconds rocket animation
WEDNESDAY 01/02/2012	·         Explored the features of Motion Editor to finely create a smooth animation ·         Learned the new 3D rotation features in Adobe Flash ·         Learned to apply various filters to movie clips such as glowing effect and drop shadow ·         Learned to change the appearance of a text or object by blending ·         Learned to use the Deco Tool to create interesting effects such as Vine Fill and Fire Animation ·         Assigned to Red Team and we discussed the rough story line for the animation on the spot	·         Students were split to 7 person in a group to create a minimum 70 seconds animation ·         Students were asked to come out with the storyboard and submit the day after ·         Red Team conducted a meeting and came up with a detailed story line and story board with the title Love in Space
THURSDAY 02/02/2012	·         Briefing about sound and video by using text book ·         Learned to import, use and edit sound effects and properties in Flash ·         Learned to embed video in Flash ·         Learned to convert video and add cue points by using Adobe Media Encoder ·         Learned to import video externally in Flash ·         Discussion among students about the animation	·         Submit the storyline and storyboard to trainer ·         Red Team members were assigned post and tasks
FRIDAY 03/02/2012	·         Learned to create button and its function which is UP, OVER, DOWN, and HIT ·         Learned to create hidden button ·         Learned to animate buttons ·         Downloaded the Adobe Flash CS5 Exam Aid and guide	·         Students were asked to submit the first complete version of the animation by Monday ·         Red Team completed the characters and environment modeling
SATURDAY 04/02/2012	·         Learned the difference between graphic symbol and movie clips and what they can do ·         Spent time in group preparing for the animation after lunch	·         Each Red Team members were assigned 5 scenes to animate ·         Red Team started animating the story
SUNDAY 05/02/2012	·         Red Team worked together at the computer lab to complete the animation

WEEKLY COMMENTS :

The trainer, Zkey was able to make the class interesting and managed to make me understand the software and explanations well. I learned in detail what Adobe Flash CS5 has to offer and managed to learn to work in group and most importantly learned to create an animation. Zkey also used Team Viewer alongside Adobe Flash CS5 in class to ensure every student could see the screen when he taught us in class. With Team Viewer, students were able to interact and demo on the trainer’s screen when questioned were asked to ensure that every student understood and were able to use the software.

TUESDAY 07/02/2012	·         Students were given 45 minutes to answer the questions in Adobe Flash CS5 Exam Aid ·         Students were given new sample questions ·         Learned to use mouse click and  keypress events on buttons to play and stop an animation ·         Learned to use nested symbols to create two different type of movement in the symbol and nested symbol ·         Learned to use for loop and also how to create an dynamic object ·         Learned to modify properties of a symbol and use with function ·         Learned to use conditional if else statement with compound operators ·         Learned to apply conditional statements on buttons along with events ·         Learned to use switch case for keypress events and modify properties of a symbol

THURSDAY 09/02/2012	·         Learned to use removeChild();  function with buttons to remove object from stage ·         Learned to generate random number by using ­fl_GenerateRandomNumber when clicking on a button ·         Learned to generate random number using Math.random, Math.floor, Math.ceil, and Math.round ·         Create a simple rolling dice game using buttons and Math.random function ·         Learned to load text in Flash by using load();, URLLoader and URLRequest and edit the text externally ·         Learned to load external image in flash by using load(); ·         Learned to create our own custom class
FRIDAY 10/02/2012	·         Students were given 45 minutes to answer the questions in Adobe Flash CS5 Exam Aid ·         Students were refreshed on Action Script 3.0 by going through all the Action Script that we learned by the trainer to ensure students remembered and understood the codes ·         Students presented their animation after lunch	·         For the best animation, the team were rewarded a container full of chocolates brought by everyone in the class and the trainer ·         Red Team won the chocolates
SATURDAY 11/02/2012	·         Students were given 45 minutes to answer the questions in Adobe Flash CS5 Exam Aid ·         Students were given new sample questions to answer ·         Discussion about examination questions and explanation from trainer ·         Trainer showed sample on how we could modify our animation	·         Students were given time to explore the questions ·         Spent the evening  and had dinner with our trainer Zkey at the beach on his last day in Labuan
SUNDAY 12/02/2012	·         Preparation for examination on Monday

WEEKLY COMMENTS :

This week I was able to learn and understood how to use Action Script to perform certain task in Adobe Flash CS5. Action Script was made easy by using the Code Snippets. It was fun to watch every group’s animation as every group was only given few days to complete the animation, and we all worked hard to perform our best to come out with a good quality animation. Zkey was very supportive throughout these two weeks, and I managed to learn a lot from this course.

Thank you Zkey Sir, I had a great time in your class and certainly learned a lot. It was fun and educational. Look forward to attend your class again if there's a chance. Hope you had a great time with us and also in Labuan =)

recuperating.

for the past few days, due to consecutive days of examination and out of food in my room on the wrong time, it caused me pain that i had never felt before. i only took main meals, and no food to snack on when i stayed up the whole night for 3 days, with only 2 hours sleep and no sleep even. i had gastric for staying up late, and i stupidly drank coffee with empty stomach to stay up. on the 3rd day i had a bad gastric, could not breathe properly, shivers and also headache.

2 days after the 3 tiring days, which was about 2 days ago, i suffer the consequences of sleepless night and gastric. i still have a mild fever and had a real bad gastric that i felt nausea, and could not eat, not to mention, unbearable pain on the stomach. doctor said, there was too much acid in my stomach. he also mentioned, coffee causes the stomach to release more acid. now you know why the act of taking coffee with empty stomach is a stupid thing to do. i had hard time to sleep with bloated stomach and pain attacking me every 10 to 15 minutes. it was an experience that i never want to go through again.

today, i feel better and appetite is coming back. now, when i feel tiny bit of hungriness in me, i will make sure there is something going into my stomach. and still recovering from the fever. despite suffering from a bad gastric, i learned that i have great friends around me who really cares for me. i am truly grateful to have them around me when i needed them most. real glad to have them as my friend. this experience, somehow opened up my mind and finally accept some truth that i denied subconsciously. well, hope i could recover real fast and get back on track to study for my 2 following papers.

lesson : make sure you have food all the time as back up!!! don't try gastric, it's not the new black. trust me. =)
